Utility outfits – inspired by military or work wear styles – pop up in fashion quite regularly, just slightly different all the time. This season utility most times means clear and unpretentious pieces in strong colors.
I chose a few items from Happy Size to show how you can wear the trending look as a casual outfit. The key piece is a classic, dark green field jacket with epaulettes paired with a hooded jumper in matching colors.
Different shades of green that work perfectly together! The great thing about the jacket is that it is really light. It keeps you warm when the mornings and evenings are chilly, and as it is light it does not disturb you when you caring it in a bag or just wrap up around your waist during daytime.
As you can open up the sleeves with buttons, they give enough space to be rolled up when there is already some sunshine but it still is too cold to take the jacket of.
The green hoody is perfect for spring time as well as it is made out of a lighter sweat fabric – not a fluffy winter jumper. 🙂 Even its design is quite simple, the hoody has some highlights that are really on point – the high collar, the big cord and the nice front pocket make it look everything but boring!
I already got used to the sunny weather we had during March that I really hope April will not turn out to be a typical one with changing weather all the time… as the more unsettled the weather is, the more difficult it is to grab the right clothes in the morning… But with items like this light jumper and a field jacket you are not only perfectly prepared for a few weather conditions but you are also totally in style!
